Ryan tried bike polo once in Portland Oregon. He borrowed a bike from some kind soul and in his first five minutes found himself in front of an open goal with the ball on his mallet. While he pondering this situation he found suddenly that he was lying in a heap on the floor having had a mallet thrown at his front wheel and a catapulting polo player at his body. Thinking this seemed a tad on the ‘i’m gonna fuck you up’ and a bit less on the ‘lets have a bit of fun’ side of things he didn’t play again for some time.
Brick lane in London was the scene of Ryan’s next polo game. Deciding he wasn’t quite sure what to do with his mallet he positioned it firmly on his shoulder…Generally getting it out of the way seemed like a fair idea. He then proceeded to ride around knocking people off their bikes, throwing his mallet at the goal and generally making himself reasonably unpopular. Playing in Moving Target team for a while seemed like fun but he was a busy bee what with delivering packages all week and saving up for a big bike trip, he eventually dropped off the hardcourt polo radar.
…that is until 2010 when he came back to London and met Adam and Jono. Adam was starting a team and Ryan had a lot of spare time so they started playing together and eventually were joined by Jono making Spring Break!
Ryan’s story now explained in comic form!
